Pugs are very silly. They love to explore. They love to taste things. Below is a list of poisons to be aware of. Please keep your Pug baby away from such things.

Antifreeze is sweet and tasty to dogs and cats. Keep Antifreeze up high and sealed. It is very deadly. Just a taste of it can be extremely harmful, if not fatal to your Pug.

Chocolate is also very tasty to Pugs but dangerous. 12-20 ounces of milk chocolate is all would take to be fatal to a Pug of normal weight.

Mouse/rat poisons are sometimes tempting to our Pets yet extremely dangerous.

Pesticides         Lawn Chemicals

Over-the-counter medication such as Advil, Motrin and aspirins can be harmful to your Pug.

If you suspect your Pug has ingested a toxic substance, watch for things such as dilated or very small pupils, eyes that are watery, difficult breathing, lowered body temperature, rapid heartbeat or restless excitablitiy, drooling or vomiting, diarrhea with blood, siezures, passing out.

If your Pug ingests any of these substances, call the Poison Control Center. It will be very helpful if you are aware of which one of these poisons your Pug ingested. Get your Pug to the Vet or emergency clinic immediatly if you see any of the above symptoms or if you witnessed your Pug eating a poisonous substance. If your Pug has vomited, take a sample with you to the vet as this will help him to diagnose the culprit.
